There are so many different lifestyle habits that can help you lose weight, some of which have nothing to do with exercise. These easy weight loss hacks are all things I swear by and will jump start your weight loss journey and help keep off any weight you’ve already lost.
1. Start to meal prep your meals
Meal planning and prepping is one of the best things you can do for weight loss. Why? Having your meals already prepped and ready to go means never being so hungry that you’re running to a drive thru window or looking for a candy bar. It allows you to stay on track with your goals.

2. Eat small (and often) throughout the day
What I mean by that is…snack frequently. The longer you wait to eat between meals, the hungrier you get, which will make it a lot easier to overeat. By eating small and often throughout the day, you keep your metabolism moving, wean off hunger and control your blood sugar.
3. Use portion control containers
If you’re trying to lose weight, eating within healthy portions will be the anchor of your success. Using portion control containers make figuring out your food portions so. much. easier. These portion control containers are inexpensive and by using them, you’re less likely to overeat.
This set is color coded and has a container for protein, fruit, veggies, healthy fats and healthy carbs. If you follow the guideline, plan out your meals for the day, and eat every 3 to 4 hours, you will lose weight fast.

4. Keep it low calorie
One of the easiest ways to save on calories is to use a silicone baking mat. How? Well, using a silicone baking mat means you’re avoiding oil, thus keeping your meals healthier. Not to mention, clean up is a breeze.
5. Write in a food journal
A food journal can be a really eye-opening tool for holding yourself accountable and seeing what you’re eating everyday. To start, simply write down exactly what you ate that day. I also like to include how I felt after eating (sluggish, energetic etc), any vitamins I took, etc. All of this information will be a great service to any health and fitness goals you are working towards.
