Water is the key to staying healthy and hydrated, yet some of us struggle to get our 8 glasses a day. Herbs can be preserved by freezing them as ice cubes and are an easy way to give your water that extra kick.
These delicious mint infused ice cubes have a refreshing taste and will brighten up any glass of water, iced tea, or signature cocktail. Plus, they’re so easy to make.
Directions:
Boil 4 cups of water and add 2 packed cups of fresh mint leaves and steep until cool. Strain out the leaves. Place 2 to 3 small leaves into each ice cube hole on the tray and fill with the cooled mint infused water. Place into freezer and when the cubes are ready add them to your glass of water or iced tea.
4 cups will fill 3 ice cube trays – just reduce water amount for fewer trays.
Try to use filtered water to make your ice cubes healthier and better-tasting. They will also be clearer, making the basil really stand out!
