DIY Makeup Setting Spray

diy-makeup-setting-spray

If you want your makeup to stay fresh and last all day, you’re gonna need to use a makeup setting spray. Instead of buying an expensive one, you can easily make your own at home with just three ingredients (one of them being water!)

Ingredients:

1 part each – Glycerin + Rosewater (Amazon has the best prices, but both can also be found in any health food store)
3 parts – Bottled or distilled water

UPDATE: You can now buy Glycerin + Rosewater in the same formula right here! Much more convenient and saves you a few dollars!

How to:

To make your own makeup setting spray, combine ingredients in your 1:3 ratio and pour into a spray bottle. Close cap and give it a good shake to mix it up. That’s it! Not complicated at all.

To use:

Spritz three or four times over your face. Don’t hold the spray bottle too close; just a slight mist will do. Try to tilt your head up and hold the spray bottle about 6” away from your face while spraying.

A quick spritz on bare skin will act as a toner and refresh your skin. Applied over makeup, it will give you a dewy complexion and set your look. It works beautifully!!

Additional tips:

– Always use the highest quality of fresh, organic ingredients when possible.
– Only mix a small amount at a time. Since this spray is all natural and doesn’t contain preservatives, the shelf life is 2 weeks (3 weeks in the fridge.)

Will you try making your own makeup setting spray at home?

Add a little vitamin e and that should help it last longer. (It’s used as a natural preservative in many beauty products)
