How To De-Bloat Your Belly… ASAP!

de-bloat your belly

We’ve all felt that uncomfortable feeling of fullness in the stomach, otherwise known as bloating. Just a few quick tricks can help de-bloat your belly and help you start to feel a lot lighter.

Chew slowly. Eating quickly and not chewing your food well causes you to swallow more air, which leads to bloating.

Avoid wheat. Choose whole grain instead.

Take a probiotics supplement. Probiotics will help correct any gut flora imbalances and reduce bloating. Choose a supplement that contains at least 5-10 billion active organisms and includes lactobacillus and bifidobacterium culture.

Have fiber-rich snacks. Fiber is an important part of feeling energized and bloat-free. Aim for 25 to 30 grams of a day by snacking on things like raspberries, popcorn, and hummus.

Be mindful of your portions. One reason you might be feeling full and bloated could be related to your portion sizes. Eating small, but often, will help keep your belly flatter.

Finally, a mug of hot lemon water first thing in the morning will help wake up your digestive system and set you up for the day.
