Aloe Vera Ice Cubes for Sunburn Relief
I’m pretty consistent when it comes to applying and re-applying SPF, but sometimes sunburn just happens. For immediate relief, turn to the power of aloe vera. Aloe vera is one of the best natural remedies to soothe sunburn due to its hydrating and cooling properties.
Aloe vera ice cubes take the healing effects of aloe vera to the next level and they’re incredibly easy to make. With a few of these green blocks of ice in your freezer, you’ll have a fast and handy way to soothe mild sunburn and speed up healing.

Silicone Ice Cube Trays – Hearts, Stars & Shells
If you’re making these cubes for your kids, consider using a fun shaped ice cube tray.
These silicone ice cube trays are perfect because the shapes are super cute and because the silicone makes it so much easier to get the ice out of. They’re BPA-free, easy to use and easy to clean.
These molds are on the smaller side, which I actually prefer for aloe vera cubes.
Grab a bottle of natural aloe vera gel and a clean ice cube tray. Fill each cube to the top with aloe vera and place in the freezer. After the gel is completely frozen, remove cubes from tray and store in the freezer for convenience.
If you’re taking a trip to the beach, keep a few cubes in your cooler for fast relief from too much sun.
When Not to Use Aloe Vera Ice Cubes
Aloe vera ice cubes are perfect for soothing minor sunburns. However, burns that are more severe (which lead to blistering) require additional attention. If you’re suffering from a serious burn, skip the aloe vera cubes and seek medical attention!
